Basket Collecting

Basket3

There is just something about the beauty of a great basket. For as long as I can remember, baskets have always been at the top of my collecting list. They just never go out of style no matter what your favorite decor is.

White washed basket

I found this one a few years ago at an outside flea market and immediately fell in love with it’s white washed look and texture. It’s the perfect size and I use it in my laundry room to keep pieces of ticking in. When looking for baskets, I like to find ones with honest or old paint on them. Imagine the stories these oldies could share with us!

Carol, I didn’t know they make pottery too! Guess I’ll need to start looking.

I too love baskets, but not just any basket. I enjoy finding Longaberger baskets in flea markets and yard sales. I have a pie carrier, an oval basket I use for extra spoons and a handled basket my sister gave me that I have a flower arrangement it.

Donna, One of the Nurses I used to work with was a Longaberger rep. Needless to say I started collecting their baskets for a time and even the pretty pottery. Such a classic!
