Paper Fringed Adornments For Special Occasions

Happy May! Over the weekend I had the pleasure of being one of Karla’s instructors at her wonderful Bird Song Event. It was held in her fabulous studio and students from across the country took part in the two day classes.  For my project, I taught the class my paper fringing technique that I created years ago and continue to use for events~

Corsages, nests and trees all constructed from crepe paper and vintage book pages~very fun and inexpensive!

I also showed the class how to create this sweet little paper wreath embellished with a nest and paper flowers~Perfect to adorn the back of a chair for a Wedding Reception.

It was so much fun to create with all the wonderful Ladies who traveled across the country just to take part in the Bird Song Event~ A special mention to talented Deb and Lisa (I finally got to give her a hug) who were also instructors along with the best hostess ever Karla Nathan~ Thank You Dear Friends, you’re all amazing and so talented:)

i am absolutely inspired by your site and everything on it. truly. when i get a little discouraged, i try to find someplace beautiful where i live in washington state to just breathe…but i’m quickly running out of places. your site is now my breathing space. i would love to crawl into your photographs and hold some of those lovely things in my hands. well these paper fringing items have me in throes of worship nearly…and i want to make them sooooooo badly. unfortunately, i live clear across the world from you (nearly) and would SO APPRECIATE a tutorial on your blog here. i would thank you every single day for the rest of my life for this. honestly. i live in a storybook house and nearly everything on your site and that you show would fit in my home like it was meant to live here. but those fringed paper everythings? holy cow….a match made in heaven. i love the marriage of the blue and the antique cream…yum. really. yum. thank you in advance for even thinking about helping all of us less blessed….

I’m still pouting over missing out on the fun with you girls!
Although the pic y’all texted me was pretty much priceless! ;-)

I’m thinking I’m going to give your paper wreath a try.
Stand by for cries of “help, please!” from Texas!

XO,
Anne
