Friday evening I hosted a dinner party at the farmhouse for a few Dear Friends that were in town for the weekend. Andrea, Heather, Jenn, Lori and Suzanne had flown in for a few days of fun with Karla (who lives about an hour West of me) so I invited them out to the farmhouse for a little get together. All of these Women are amazing and I wanted to create a casual but special evening for them. I thought I would share with you a few ideas and photos of the Spring table setting.

I always start with a color idea and these lovely buttercream flowers were the perfect inspiration for my table decor. Just the right mix of pale yellow and vanilla for a fresh but soothing feel I thought.

I bundled a package of organic sunflower seeds on top of linen napkins with the silverware inside and tied everything together with light yellow ribbon to place on the cream colored plates. The seed packets were my little gift to all the girls to take back home and plant.

I found candles in the same buttercream shade and placed them in clear glass hurricane and votive holders to keep everything light and airy. To further embellish the votive holders, I adhered small scrapbook flowers to the outside of each.

For an extra special touch, I added a small bud vase with a single white tulip to each of the place settings.

A zinc sap bucket was used to hold the flowers and I then set the bouquet on top of a vintage china platter for the centerpiece. For the chargers, I took twig trays and placed them under the plates.

It’s really simple to make a table setting special with just a few things that are easily found. You also don’t have to spend a ton either!

Carol as always your decorating is incredible. I love the soft color palette! I am redecorating my dining room and your chairs look familiar. I bought the French Vintage from RH. I am waiting patiently for the table and chairs to be delivered. I hope to have them by next week because I am hosting a surprise 60th birthday party. I just hope my table looks as inviting as yours. Thanks for always inspiring!

So beautiful.
I am going to be a little copy cat and make this my Easter table. The only things I am lacking are the Flowers and maybe the table cloth. Will have to look. I even have a similar bucket.
If I post it on my blog I will certainly refer back to your post as a link.
Thank you for the inspiration.
